how do you use these gifts…it is great to receive them but have absolutely no idea how to use them. Can you please help????
They are gifts that you GIVE, not receive. You get a GID #, and then you can gift your friends things that are normally not available. Watch this video, it explains it:

What is the gid for the VIP mystery dish?
Angel-hw: You have to click on “free gifts.” Then, you choose any dish, then click “proceed to send.” Then, click on “cafe friends,” but don’t choose any yet. Now, notice up in the address bar it ends with 3 digits? Erase those 3 digits and add the 3-digit gid # of the hidden gifts (e.g. cappuccino is 456.) Now, it’s IMPORTANT that after you put in the 3 digits that you hit the RETURN key on your keyboard. At that point the picture will change and you can choose your friends.

Cool idea, but some of the items don’t work…particularly the ones that say “o servings” and also the Apple Pie gift. Instead, they take you to your free gifts section to where you gotta choose a gift there. So…might wanna remove some of the gifts that aren’t working anymore.

Yes unfortunately Zynga got annoyed with ppl exploiting their lousy coding so they changed the gifting system. As a result these, or at least most of these will not work anymore.
